Rosco upends Bobcats twice
ROSCOMMON – “The entire team played better defense, Garrett especially stepped up, covered ground and played great in centerfield. We just kept battling, this was fun baseball,” uttered Roscommon’s Coach Rodney Patterson. Rosco swept Houghton Lake, 15-10 and 7-5.
Caleb Jernigan was a sparkplug in both games. CJern was a stellar 3-4 in the opener, then he turned around and tallied a 2-3 mark. Brett Jobin was 2-3, JHam was 2-5, JMill was 2-4 and Devin MacDonald was 2-3 to spur the Bucks’ offensive. HL’s Brendon Hans was 2-4 with two doubles. “Errors cost us in the first game,” said HL’s Coach Adam Goodwin. Dietrich and Garrett pitched well in the game two loss. Dalton Bailey was 2-4, lost on the hill in G1.
Jernigan went 3-4 to anchor the line-up. His defense was solid and he’s been a leader amongst the Bucks.
