Rosco retains county supremacy
Last year, Coach Heather Compton was in the midst of a rebuilding season with the departure of Olivia Lopez, Olivia Meadows, Ashley Seames, and Laura Walker. With that batch of talent leaving and heading to play collegiate volleyball, the Bucks lost the reigns of the JPC title to a gritty and athletic Meridian squad. And although the rebuilding mode continues, with only two seniors waging war on the hardwood in Morgan Romancky and Amanda Reno, this Roscommon wrecking crew looks primed to make a surge to reclaim a crown. They showed flashes of just how far they could go in the league with their three straight set victory over their arch rivals, the Houghton Lake Bobcats winning 25-12, 25-18 and edged out a donnybrook in the final set 25-22.
